Born in January of 1957, Vergara holds a degree in Legal and Social Sciences from the University of Chile. He was sworn in as a lawyer in 1984. He has been a member of the Bar Association of Madrid, Spain; registered as an International Consultant in Luxembourg in 1988; and is a Senior Member of the Inter-American Federation of Lawyers. He holds a PhD in Education Sciences from the University of La Serena. Mr. Vergara is on the Belgolux Chilean Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors. He is a member of The New York City Bar Association, a volunteer lawyer organization in New York, USA.
Extensive experience and studies in law, along with internships in Belgium, Spain and America, have allowed Vergara to accumulate rich experience and specialization in taxes, international negotiations, business development projects, and management consulting. Such dedication has made him a leading advisor and consultant in business management, with special attention paid to the organization, implementation, risk prevention and social responsibility of companies and entrepreneurs, as required by the global world and the challenges that are part of the adventure of entrepreneurship.

Mr. Vergara engages in an intense agenda of seminars, talks, training workshops and economic, legal, tax and cultural information exchange. He does so in a variety of forums in the countries where BC&MC and ICG bring together initiatives and companies from Ibero-American countries.
Each year, in Chile and abroad, Mr. Vergara presents forums on various topics of social and commercial interest: treaties, international conventions, taxes and matters of international cooperation. ICG Conventions that take place in ICG offices and partner countries are of particular importance to him.
Furthermore, since his youth he has developed his vocation as a philosopher, educator and writer, publishing his research and reflections, in hopes of contributing to peace and understanding among the citizens of the world, promoting freedom and nobility in intentions.
